My .93 Cent Apple Billing Nightmare

A bit off topic for the blog, but this story must be shared. It is a story of stupidity, waste of time, waste of money, aggravation, horrific customer service and a system that is so computerized one can't simply make a payment to resolve an account issue.

Here is a story of great inefficiency caused by an overly automated system. If this is our future, we're screwed. All of the aggravation and time wasted in the following post was caused by a .93 cent billing issue that I wanted to pay but can't because Apple's system is so computerized they are incapable of simply taking a payment and crediting your account over the phone (like this is a sin in the 20th century as Biden would say). What should have taken less than 5 minutes has taken an 1:20 minute phone call, 4 or more emails and is still unresolved the following day.

Chartapalooza 08/24/12 Dollar, Oil, well .... Everything

I need to churn out some individual detailed reports on the below. I'll see if I can get to that next week. Let me know what you want to see.

Read 'em and weep -

Dollar - I suspect our fiat gets one last pop when the Euro fails. That will piss off uncle Benny, but that's too bad. He'll get his wishes of mega devaluation sooner than later as they MUST devalue to support the exponentially expanding debt of the country. A crash is coming but not till after the Euro failure, rush to safety (LMAO) pop I suspect the failing reserve currency gets. I still think you will live to see the dollar with a $4 handle. Dollar sits at channel support and multi-year s/r  at $81. That's a very important level.

Morning Charts 07/24/12 $SPX $ES

Pretty simple again. We sit on a cliff awaiting a savior.

Minis 15m - If you missed my Let's Look at the E-minis post yesterday, please look at it for a complete step by step guide to price action and where we are today.  Minis last night closed at critical support and today remain teetering on the brink of a 40 to 45 point slide to 1300 if Team Manipulation and the PPT don't come to the rescue. Blue rising wedge support has failed. 1341 is the market Mendoza line. Yellow (new) wedge or lower diagonal support is all that is left. Those three are dominating price here as you can see on the chart below.

Morning Market Summary and Charts 03/19/12 #SPX $ES

I hope everyone enjoyed their St. Patrick's Day weekend. Now it is time to get back to work (or suffering if you are a day trader). Lack of clarity only brings one thing to the markets these days and that's optimism. The new normal is if things are bad that's good, if things are good that's OK and if things are murky and unclear that good as well.

In case you missed it, Apple Announces $10 Billion Share Repurchase Program, $2.65 Quarterly Dividend, Plans To Spend $45 Billion Over 3 Years | ZeroHedge. I really have no comment on this, other than the timing of this event is rather curious. Unless it was already priced in, premarket moves on this announcement were disappointing.

Charting Apple (AAPL) - Resistance is Strong

I love AAPL and all its products, but all good things must come to an end (or at least a pause at some point). I'm not saying here and now AAPL turns for good or anything like that, but in the next year or so the charts say that the run will end or at least finally begin the topping process.

The argument for this being a blow off top and a near term turn to come is pretty strong technically. (Note this fits with the supposedly impending slide in the equity markets.) Last week I posted Is Apple (AAPL) Headed For a 50% Haircut? where I warned to wait thru earnings to make any decisions. Well now earnings has come and gone, so is it time to make a big boy decision?

Looking at the charts -

AAPL Daily - Now the daily chart is setting a double negative divergence while price spiked right to and stopped at upper diagonal (black) resistance). Double negs on a daily are never good.

Is Apple (AAPL) Headed For a 50% Haircut?

As usual, I only report on what the charts say, nothing else. If you can keep up with the news flow on AAPL be my guest, just check the twitter feed here Twitter / Search - aapl. Revolutionize this or that seems to be the common theme.

I can't argue with them as I love all my iProucts. We did get nooks over IPads and that appears to be working out just fine. Friends have switched to androids from iPhones and those seem to work just fine. Apple seems to be losing some of their dominance on the sector. Is the competition catching up? Who knows? I do know that this company has done incredibly well on the backs of a few products. They do dominate the industry. There is room to grow as the egg throwing Chinese are proving.

I do know one thing, technically on a monthly chart AAPL has begun the dreaded second sharper negative divergence. It is also the only equity with an overbought MACD that rivals that of gold. The rising wedge is ending.

AAPL Monthly - The rising wedge is clear as day. The lowest blue diagonal is a traditional wedge target diagonal once it breaks.

Morning Post 09/20/11, SPX, AAPL

Well, Looks like my warnings Friday about the market 's reaction prior to the FOMC data tomorrow (it was dangerous to short even though Friday 's close was a very tempting set up) was spot on. How can you short into the Fed with their constant risk on positioning and eternal promise of QE? It is insanity.

All eyes everywhere. The EU is in deep shit. No denying that. The biggest news was not the S&P downgrade of Italy and the Euro. Nor was it China's backstabbing of the EU. It was Siemens dumping their French bank and depositing funds directly with the ECB. After all of that one would likely conclude easily a 250 point down DOW day - nope.

If any of you understand this welfare video, please explain it to me. I swipe my EBT. Yes, America is reduced to this, free junk food. Hey, whatever makes the system work and supports corporations - it's allll goooood.

Afternoon Delight 09/19/11, SPX, AAPL

The surprise of the day -

From Zero Hedge - The Corporate Bank Run Has Started: Siemens Pulls €500 Million From A French Bank, Redeposits Direct With ECB

"The implications of this are quite stunning, as it means that even European companies now refuse to work directly with their own banks, and somehow the ECB has become a direct lender/cash holder of only resort to private non-financial institutions!"

And the chart that shows the truth behind reality - 1m Index Comparison Chart - The financials did not do so hot today. Oh, and that would be the Fed's favorite pump buddy (the RUT) falling hard right behind)
