Bob Janjuah Dismisses Central Bank Independence Amid Monetary Anarchy | ZeroHedge
I have no clue about the 1500 talk, but with this centrally planned and wholly manipulated market you can not discount the possibility especially with the market being all there is left between the government and total anarchy in this nation and in an election year.
For more than a year STB has been on the crash to get QE3 (and another short squeeze) call. Recently I have been looking for the standard 15 to 20% corrective when Twist ends and that will be followed by screams and demands for QE3 or some sort of intervention to raise the markets into the elections regardless the consequences. Bob discusses 1300 and mid 1200's which have been mentioned here very often recently with my possible low of 1170. I get tickled when the experts come to where I have been for some time.
Daily SPX - See Bob's 1300 and mid 1200 (1260 to be exact) targets on the chart? You can then move to 1220 and then my 1170 target as well.

Red Flags And A Yoda Sighting
The volleyball that is Greece was hit over the net several times today and no one scored a point. With all the secret meetings in Canada and Australia going on and Germany's being eliminated (at this time) from the 'I don't want to own Greece lotto' one has to wonder just what the banksters and global financial elite are cooking up this time?
Zero Hedge has "Greece Must Solve It's Own Budget Problems" That stops one step shy of Germany officially saying no (which I believe they did earlier in the day). No one wants this hot potato. The idea that a 'Red Flag' was thrown up to see the markets reactions to various scenarios/rumors is an interesting thought. I have whipped on this horse enough this week. Bottom line is if they get bailed out, whomever helps them only weakens their own already frail financial standing. On the other hand, the first domino to fall starts the chain. Do or die?
Throw into the mix Iran has a "surprise" for us to be announced on 2/11 and you may have enough disinfo out there to actually fool somebody! Israel wants more sanctions, Iran is gonna clog up shipping lanes, China is gonna sell treasuries to support a military build up. we're going to take over Iran and cripple China's oil supply (OK, I can go for that one), We have missiles aimed at Russia (I can go for that too). Actually it sounds like we are moving in for checkmate. The global tensions are building like two tectonic plates in the ring of fire. It should only be a matter of time before some slippage and the earthquake occurs.
I don't see Barney Frank trying to outlaw shorting against the PIIGS? Maybe the people at Overstock.com might have something to say about this strategy?
OK, I veered off course today in my web search ....
Rasmussen Reports has 63% Say Better for Country If Most of Congress Not Reelected. Ya think we've had enough? "A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 63% of likely voters believe, generally speaking, that it would be better for the country if most incumbents in Congress were defeated this November. Just 19% disagree and say it would be better if most congressional incumbents were reelected. Another 18% aren’t sure." If you are among the 37% that disagree or are not sure, please leave the country on a one way flight. Maybe you would like to move to China or Greece? The other links in their post are wonderful as well. Please click around and get a pulse on what the populace is thinking. It ain't good.
The most outrageous thing I have seen in some time comes from The Raw Story - No joke: South Carolina now requires ’subversives’ to register. This is funny as hell if you have not seen it. Dig this, "Five-dollar registration fee for persons planning to overthrow US government. Terrorists who want to overthrow the United States government must now register with South Carolina's Secretary of State and declare their intentions -- or face a $25,000 fine and up to 10 years in prison." LMAO - did you have to read that twice? If you are planning on overthrowing the government you need to pay $5 and go register with the government or face severe penalties and jail time. Oh lord us poor southerners can't help but to punch ourselves in the eye every now and then. And, NO, we really don't have anything better to do down here.
Must see - Apparently Yoda has aged, gotten a tan and got arrested in January on domestic assault charges. His attempt to hide from The Stith in a Utah jail has been foiled.
Have a good evening.

Morning Post
MCD and KO do well. Ignore them, cause all eyes are on the PIIGS and who else might be invited to play Default Dominoes.
I'm sticking that it all comes down to Greece, the other PIIGS and the EU. Nothing else really matters anymore. The focus is there. The only question is does the thief come in the middle of the night or during trading hours. How much of it is priced in?
The rumors and news surrounding Greece and the PIIGS are insane. Just how much of this is in the control of GS and not Trichet or any other fraudulent government money man.
What was up with the secretive banker meeting in Australia while the G7 was meeting on the other side of the world?
Earnings calendar -
Economic calendar -
E-mini 60m - Channeling down (Sky blue lines) after breaking the Green support line that held the market up since June. Reversing near the 38% retracement (yellow line at 1037) of the 862 low. The dailys as expected are pretty oversold and this mornings pop of 9.5 points is not surprising. Any good news will cause a thrust these days and the fact that things in Greece have calmed down somewhat is reason for the dip buyers to get active again.
SPX - I still contend it is fighting off the upper bear market TL. It tagged it again yesterday and reversed. Can it hold is yet to be seen. The daily indicators are struggling to gain ground and remain oversold. The RSI5 divergence tried to give way yesterday, but may be coming home to roost today based on the futures. 1085 is the max if we even get close to that. 1110 is the 68% retracement at this time and the 50 ma on the daily chart. It is only a matter of time before the collapse. As I mentioned earlier, will we wake up to it one morning or will it happen during trading hours.
Dollar - Is it having an overthrow of a wedge? It would be backtesting the upper TL right now if it is. Pretty overbought, but this will not mean anything if a flight to safety occurs. I also think there is a possibility that an ABC has completed, but looking at things politically I believe the rush to safety on an EU breakdown sends the dollar to 89. Then it crashes with everyone else.
Gold - Getting a nice pop this morning. It is oversold and might have a little upside left. A pop to the 1085 - 1090 range may be in order. There is upper channel resistance there.
Oil - Oversold and bouncing off of lower channel support. If this support cracks 65 and 59 would be likely stopping points. I called $55 months ago. That TL and target may have moved.
Natgas - Revesding off of the upper channel line, but at support. Indicators are mixed. So, /NG is in a very precarious spot. Charts are telling me there is confusion among the ng troops, that is usually not a good thing.
EUR/JPY and /USD recovered some yesterday and have been crushed over the past month. As correlated to the dollar, they look to have completed ABC correctives, but given the PIIGS situation, I have to expect worse. If this is a 5 wave move we are in 3 down and should be expecting a 3 of 3 soon.
GL out there.
